Born in 1968 in the Biga district of Çanakkale, İsmail Doğan graduated from Biga Industrial Vocational High School. He previously served as Production Manager and Factory Manager at Doğanlar Mobilya Grubu İmalat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.
Between 2004 and 2012, he held the position of General Manager at the same company.
From 2016 to 2017, he served as Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Furniture Industrialists Association (MOSDER).
Between June 2020 and April 2023, he served as CEO of Doğanlar Mobilya Grubu İmalat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.
Today, İsmail Doğan is a Member of the Board of Directors of Doğanlar Holding and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Doğanlar Mobilya Grubu, Doğyap İnşaat, and D’afric Senegal Construction.
